40th Annual Gingerbread Trail, Tour of Homes June 7th and 8th, 2008 This is one of the highlights of the Summer Season in Waxahachie Texas. The citizens of Waxahachie graciously open their historic homes to visitors during the Gingerbread Trail. The tour began 37 years ago to showcase the unique surviving homes and public buildings designed and constructed during the era of the ornate gingerbread style. more information  Christmas Candlelight Home Tour
This is one of my personal favorites for the year. Twelve unique homes, spanning a period from the Victorian era to early 1900s and into the 20th century are decorated with thousands of Christmas lights and other decorations for three dazzeling weekends. This is truly an event one should not miss and it occurs in one of the most charming and historic cities in Texas.
