Vintage Life Magazines Found - This is great news for all you magazine collectors. Several weeks back we discovered a box in a local attic that contained a nice collection of Life Magazines. An institution in Maypearl, the Busy Bee Café is always a beehive of 
activity in this small town. Locals and visitors alike appreciate the laid-back small town atmosphere with attentive friendly service and great food. It’s easy to find on the main street – just look for all the parked cars. Outstanding chicken fried steak with cream gravy and great hamburgers are always on the menu. Daily specials vary. On a recent visit, the lasagna special was sold out within an hour of lunchtime. Be sure to try the onion rings. They arrive at the table piping hot with their hand-battered coating light and crisp. The Back of the Bee offers live entertainment. Please call the restaurant for more information.

The Victorian Christmas Festival is a new event for Christmas but one that I believe is going to grow in popularity. At this time, the downtown is taken back in time, to the Victorian era and Christmas. You will see local citizens stolling around in Victorian cloths, music of that era, and the stores are all decked out in their Christmas finery. 
This is one of Waxahachie's most famous events and its FREE. Funded totally by donations and staffed by local volunteers from the local churches.
