Waxahachie Downtown

As we preview  motels,hotels and bed & breakfast Inns, we will post our recommendations and other information. Currently we are reviewing  all available accommodations in and around Waxahachie. 

Rogers Hotel  Currently Closed

The Hotel we would normally recommend, would have been the historic Rogers. We had rated it as  a 4 star historical  accomodation, under its present management. It was reported to us, during our last storm it sustained some water damage  and is currently closed for repairs.

We have heard a disturbing rumor the Rogers, may not open!  If it  re-opens under the previous management, we cannot recommend the hotel. Under the previous management the hotel had  a rating of 1 star out of 4. The complaints , we are aware of, were from guests who were abuptly woken up at 2 am by bar patrons leaving and starting their motorcycles in a loud manner disturbing sleeping guests. The Bar was close when the new management took over.

 Update - The Rosemary Inn - Bed and Breakfast  - Closed out of Business

The Rosemary Inn was probably one of our best Bed and Breakfast establishments and one of the most beautiful old homes in Waxahachie. Unfortunatey, the owners have sold the home and it will become a private residence.

We Recommend 

Holiday Inn Express - We do have a Holiday Inn Express which is located on the 287 By-Pass  and have referred many guests .  We have visited and stayed at this hotel and have had good feed back from others who have stayed their.  Until we find out what the disposition of the Rogers Hotel will be, we recommend the Holiday Inn Express at the moment.
