Ellis County BBQ is one of the newest restaurants to open in Midlothian, TX.  It is located on the south side of Main Street (Business hwy. 287) on Silken. It is located where Savor Restaurant used to be.
 
My companion and I dined at Ellis County BBQ last Friday to see if it would be worthy of a restaurant review. To our surprise it is. Since then we have dined there on a regular basis. From what we have seen and tasted this is a very good BBQ restaurant which actually had table coverings instead of the familiar red and white plastic ones or butcher paper!

Most of a  Bar-B-Que retauranst we have visited normally have a buffet and some have even served their fare to us on a piece of butcher paper! Ellis County Bar-B-Que is different! These folks appear to know what they are doing and they are doing it right.Their brisket, sausage and ribs are delicous  and not overly seasoned. Their signature BBQ sauce comes either applied to your entree or on the site.
 

Another area they seem to excel in is there sides!  Sometimes this is the measure some will use to grade a BBQ establishment. Their  potato salad was excelent just the right amount of seasoning. The green beans were nicely season and supurb. Service was very good as the waiters and waitresses were very attentive. They also have a full service Bar featuring some of the coldest Beer in town.
 
If you are looking for a nice quiet dining experience where the food is good, we recommend this Ellis County restaurant.
